A Dozen Red

EXT. DOWNTOWN STREET - EVENING
An 8PM glow hangs over the city as one girl, all dressed up with seemingly nowhere to go, moves stride by stride down a long brick wall. As she nears the end an arm extends from the edge of the screen offering to her a dozen red roses.

Hello, hello, darlings! Let me just start by saying as you take scroll through these photos you will certainly notice that they take place at more than just my brick wall location. And, that is because on my way home from the brick wall I passed by the Tivoli, and it's sparkling sign met my passing gaze and I couldn't help but stop and snap a few there as well. So, did I ruin the cohesive aesthetic by doing so? Yes. Do I care? No. However, I will say that it wasn't as romantic as my previous lines made it seem due to a teenage couple that took about 30 minutes to snap their "girl is leading the boy towards the theatre by the hand" picture. I mean, I'm all for doing what you have to do to get the shot, so more power to them. I just felt kinda awkward lingering by and trying not to look like a creeper just staring in their direction the entire time waiting for that moment when they would finally walk away. Of course, they eventually did, and I got in a few photos of what I've deemed my "September Outfit". Something about the high waisted jeans, skinny belt, and clean off the shoulder top screamed modern day Grease to me, so it only felt natural to pair it with some bumper bangs. It's a total classic pinup look that doesn't look the least bit costumey, and therefore, is one I feel the desire to wear quite often. Each piece (except the shoes) is from Review, who so kindly gifted them to me, and if you haven't stopped by their site to check out all of their vintage inspired pieces then I'm gonna suggest you do that right...after you finish looking at my photos ;).

Hold, please.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
A quick chiming sound leaves the phone as she drops it back onto the hook and falls back onto the couch and clicks her fingernails while contemplating the conversation that was just had.

Some pieces of clothing you spend days deciding whether you really want them, and yet with others, you don't even think twice. The latter, is how I felt about this particular jumpsuit. It just feels like the perfect mix of Lauren Bacall and Grace Kelly with the structured pants and lace detailed top (I added the gold chain necklaces for a dash of Lana del Rey). Have to say those are ladies that I certainly don't mind looking or feeling like, in fact, that's probably when I'm looking/feeling my best.

Speaking of ladies I admire, there has been so much girl power going on in the world today, and for that I am hella overjoyed. But, we need more. Remember, no matter what anyone or anything tell you, all humans, including women are valuable and have so much to contribute to society. Keep going, darlings. There is still so much to do!

One Fine Afternoon

Ext. Patio - Day
Alive with the sounds of the city she spins across the patio, leans across the barrier, and breathes in the afternoon.

Sparkles and fur. It's the perfect formula for a good Old Hollywood Glam outfit, and one I wear often I might add. Though it's often thought of as an ideal uniform for formal occasions or holiday parties, I rarely have either of those to attend, so I have make it work for places such as well, work, or the grocery store, which is honestly so fine with me. Every woman should be able to feel glamorous AF every day in my personal opinion. Even if she has nowhere to go. Don't you agree?
