Ext. The Marina - Day
Sitting on the ledge of the dock, she stares through her wind blown hair as ships roll in and out of the harbor. From her distance she was still able to hear the sounds of music and watched shadows move about the top level in swaying movements. As usual, she let herself being carried off with the sound of the rippling water dreaming of the day she'd have her own chance to board the ship.
Fun fact: I have a weird paranoia of wearing an outfit on the wrong day. These shorts for example, were a Christmas gift...and here I am just now posting a style story in them. Granted, I have worn them once or twice, but always with a different top than the one here. I must be pretty ok at the process of elimination, because this nautical shorts and peter pan collar top combo is my favorite, it just took me a couple months to figure that out. You live and you learn, right?
Hope you all are not just surviving your week, but enjoying it! I'm pretty happy right now because I got the good news today that I can move into my new apartment this Saturday! Better step up my antiquing game, cause I need some furniture.
In even more other news, I can't remember if I mentioned that I was recently featured on Whim Magazine's website, which left me glowing all day! I scroll through their postings daily and find them incredibly inspiring, so when Melanie asked me to do an interview with them I was all kinds of honored. You can read the whole thing HERE!
