Princesa

top: missguided, shorts: forever 21, shoes: asos

She kept her hair in braids and her heart guarded by castle walls.

Some girls outgrow wanting to be princesses, and then some girls never do. As it turns out, I fall into the latter group. Being a royal (or how they appear in books and movies) has always been so captivating to me. The power, money, and leadership, along with a closet full of ballgowns, crowns, and jewels sounds so enchanting it's no wonder that I haven't completely given up the idea of becoming one. However, until my estranged grandmother unexpectedly returns to inform me that it is time for me to take my rightful place on the throne and reign justly and gracefully for years to come, I will just have to try to be the best princess/queen/khaleesi/duchess over my own life that I can be. (I am aware of how cheesy that sounds. It's late and I'm running purely on coffee, forgive me.)

Anyways, I went through all of the above rambling because this entire outfit was completely inspired by a random building in downtown Chattanooga that just happens to remind me of a spanish castle, so of course I start imagining an  every day outfit suitable for a modern spanish princesa which turned out to be this pussybow blouse, floral shorts, and a crown of braids and fedora.
