Int. Barbie's Bedroom - Day
Barbie lies in her bedroom wearing a no no-nonsense attitude and sugary shades. Her mouth is filled with sugar, and her mind, sweet dreams, which last up only until she hears the phone ring...
Oh, what is it with me and characters who are as Lana might say are "blessed with beauty and rage"? I have a love for the femme fatale type, and this "Fluorescent Barbie" outfit story I created today is no exception, though I did leave it up to you to decide on her reaction to what the person on the phone has to say. In my mind, she begins plotting a violent revenge, but I'd love to hear what she does in your mind. (go ahead, use the comment box, it's ok!) This probably sounds like a broken record to anyone who has read this blog for very long, but I get sort of a Drive vibe from this post as well. Go ahead and roll your eyes, but it's one of my favorite movies and I can't help but let it spill into my everyday style/thoughts.
Outside of Barbie world, I am finally getting back to feeling well. If you follow me on Instagram (@tennesseeroseblog) you know that I somehow wound up with a staff infection that I let get a bit too bad and it ended up putting me out for a few days with a fever, tiredness, and yeah pain. I could give you gross details if you wanted, but next to these pastel pictures it just doesn't seem appropriate. So, after more than a weeks worth of antibiotics, I am beginning to feel again like life is worth living and all that good stuff. Now, surely, I can return to my regular routine goal of at least 3 posts a week. Please.
Oh, also, if you want to see a less edited version of these photos, just scroll your little self down to the bottom of the post. I really like the pinkish blueish colored pictures which are the majority, but I also really like these last two where you can tell that the background and my outfit were completely in sync. I'll admit, I'm pretty proud of my little Target wrapping paper turned wall paper DIY project today. I don't do that ish often, but maybe I should?
